A World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) event comprising of the countries leading amateur golfers
On the 6th, 7th and 8th Apil 2017 Clere Golf proudly supported The 58th Berkhamsted Trophy; a hugely popular and respected WAGR event which 'tees off' the amateur season. With previous winners including Luke Donald, Graeme Storm, Sandy Lyle and Tom Lewis it is an event which has launched the professional career of many future stars in golf.
With 2017 being the first year which competitors were able to obtain WAGR points we were keen to add value to the event and offer tomorrows tour players a taste of what a professional tournament is like.
From on-course tee signage creating a visual impact to personalized professional grade yardage books and green books for every competitor we made sure every golfer was given the very best opportunity to play at their best. We also provided our PinZone system which enabled bespoke tournament style pin location sheets to be generated on site for each day.
"Player feedback was terrific, the players really felt they were part of a professional event. It was great to see our products being used and making a real difference" said Steve Richardson, Director at Clere Golf.
With a hole in one from Obediah Ayton who had traveled from the USA to compete the tournaments eventual winner after a play-off was Fulford Golf Clubs Charlie Thornton.
Congratulation Charlie from everyone at Clere Golf!
