Record Breaking Summer for The Green Book

What do Henrik Stenson, In Gee Chun and Justin Rose have in common?

Answer: They all used The Green Book to help them win: at The Open, Evian Championship and Olympic Games respectively.

They have chosen to use the latest technology to improve their performance and with The Ryder Cup coming up, the books will be provided exclusively to Team Europe.

Henrik Stenson and his caddie used the Green Book to post a record score at The Open Championship at Royal Troon in July. When Rose won the Olympic gold medal at Rio in August, he was the only player in the field to use The Green Book, gaining an advantage over his competitors.

Besides Stenson and Rose, The Green Book helped In Gee Chun post a new 72-hole Major record of 21-under-par at the Evian Championship in September.

That led her caddie, PGA Professional, David Jones, to comment: “The Green Book helps on every golf course. I could stand in the clubhouse and read a putt for someone on the seventh green. As long as you’ve got the pin position right you will be very close to it. They are really good; you cannot win tournaments if you don’t hole putts, at any level.”

The Green Books use a new and award winning software called ClereGreenCreator™ designed by Paul Homersham, owner of Clere Golf, to produce an incredible level of detail, which takes all the guess work out of reading the slopes.

The 3D Contouring Laser Scanners deliver an accuracy of +/- 1mm for tournament greens. Each scan consists of tens of millions of individual laser points, providing unparalleled detail.

“You can see a gradual change, when the arrows are so small,” continued Jones.

The Green Book has been proven on the biggest stages in professional golf and now a simplified version of The Green Book for amateur use is being rolled out at some of the world’s finest championship courses, including Valderrama in Spain, Bro Hoff in Sweden and Wentworth in England.
